تراجع احتياطي النقد الأجنبي في جنوب إفريقيا
انخفض احتياطي العملة الأجنبية في جنوب إفريقيا خلال شهر أبريل من العام الجاري 2018، حسبما ذكر البنك المركزي في جنوب إفريقيا.
وأوضح البنك المركزي في تقريره، أن الاحتياطيات السيادية لجنوب إفريقيا انخفضت خلال شهر أبريل الماضي بنسبة 0.9 في المائة، بعدما وصل إجمالي الاحتياطي بالبلاد إلى 49.54 مليار دولار في شهر أبريل، مقابل 49.98 مليار دولار خلال شهر مارس 2018.
وحول الأسباب الرئيسية وراء هذا الانخفاض ذكرت المؤسسة المالية في التقرير ذاته، أن ذلك يأتي نتيجة ضعف عملة جنوب إفريقيا "الراند" مقابل العملات الدولية الرئيسية خاصة منها الدولار الأمريكي، بالإضافة إلى ارتفاع فاتورة الواردات مقابل الصادرات وزيادة فجوة العجز التجاري بالبلاد.
