NAMIBIA :

The government authorizes Eco Atlantic to drill on the PEL 30 offshore oil permit: "In Namibia, the oil exploration company Eco Atlantic Oil & Gas has received a Government authorization to drill on the PEL 30 offshore exploration license, also known as the Cooper Block. This authorization comes after the company listed on AIM published an environmental certification notice on the project in November 2017. Eco Atlantic is mainly targeting the Osprey structure located at a water depth of approximately 500 m and which could contain 882 million barrels of oil equivalent. NIGERIA:

Disagreements over the minimum wage in the oil sector are paralyzing the industry: "In Nigeria, the main unions in the oil sector have just launched an unlimited strike as part of a dispute over the minimum wage. The decision by the workers' unions follows yet another failed negotiation with the government, reports Reuters. Indeed, workers want the monthly minimum wage to be raised to About 50,000 naira or 164 dollars against 18,000 naira currently. They are based, in fact, on President Buhari's promise that the minimum wage in the oil sector will be increased as soon as oil prices rise..."

IVORY COAST:

The 2019 budget (provisional) up by 8.6%, at the end of the Council of Ministers on Wednesday, September 26, the Ivorian government adopted a draft budget for 2019.
